Jachym was our guide. Contacting "Prague Local Friends" was easy and communication was pretty awesome in terms of speed and to coordinate location. We opted for the 5 hour walk leaving Jachym being the one showing us around. It was a great decision. We visited so many places, got a nice story lesson and we finished the tour with a nice cold beer. I took my wife and two kids (teenagers) and they also had a great time. Highly recommendable to anyone.

Magical. Even in the winter, this tour was magical and cold. We met our guide at the Opera House, walked across the river, wandered through Mala Strana, and made the trek up to the castle. I was amazed at how easy it was to wander into the castle complex at night. This tour is part of what convinced me that Prague is as magical as everyone says it is. The trek up to the castle and winding through the streets of Mala Strana is absolutely a fairy tale. Since we were the only people on our tour, our guide was kind enough to walk back with us to ensure that we were able to find our hotel. She also provided restaurant recommendations and things to be wary of when it comes to choosing a restaurant. Her tips did not steer us wrong.

The Prague by Night Tour was terrific. We were very lucky to have our tour be with just our family which made it extra special. Ema our tour guide was very funny and knew a great deal about everything we toured that evening. We would highly recommend this tour.

I took the night tour the evening I arrived. It was a perfect way to feel like I had a friend in Prague on my first night. Kristian organized it and met us for a drink, Katrin did the tour. Katrin was fun and funny and gave me insight into the Czech people and culture. The only drawback is that you don't get much of an orientation to where you are in the city because it's dark out, but obviously I knew that going in! Make sure to pay attention to how empty the castle district is at night - it's such a contrast to the daytime crowds. I really enjoyed this tour and my time with Katrin.

We did the Castle Night tour with Katrin....It was like hanging out with someone local and getting to know the city...She took us around the Castle sharing lots of useful information and customized the tour to our interest.....The tour was well paced, informative and fun....Katrin discussed our interests and suggested some nice places for us to visit during the rest of our stay - which was very helpful....
So refreshingly different from a regular tour and guides and so much more fun!

My mom and I toured with Katrin on our visit to Prague and she was fantastic! We wanted to visit a mixture of both tourist attractions along with local artists and jewelry shops. Katrin did not disappoint. She was so kind and not to mention funny! She really knows a lot about Prague and it's vast history. We were very pleased. As a solo female traveller, when I first arrive into a new destination I usually like to get a lay of land by taking a walking tour. When I arrived into Prague and did my usual search, I came across "Prague with Kristian" and noticed he has a "Prague by Night" tour. I was thrilled with the prospect that I could venture out into the evening with a local and explore Prague under a starry night and ambient street lights.
My guide (and colleague of Kristian) Katrin quickly got in touch with me and informed me it would just be us two ladies for the evening! I was impressed that they would still do the tour with just me. What a pleasant surprise to all of sudden have a private tour!
During the tour, Katrin proved herself to be extremely intelligent and personable. She was determined to answer every question I had for her and she brought maps and a tablet so she could explain the history of the Czech Republic. I was extremely impressed with how she really wanted to impart as much information as she could to me. As we talked and walked, we covered quite a bit of the city.
The real appeal of "Prague by Night" was the fact that most of the clamouring tourists were off the streets and I could see the beauty of an empty Charles Bridge. I was able to get a demonstration of the unique acoustics of a cement step sculpture at Prague Castle that you absolutely could NOT experience with the daytime crowds there! We had the entire Prague Castle grounds to ourselves. Being able to snap a shot of the narrowest street in Prague devoid of tourists was also a bonus.
The highlight of the evening was a met up in a cozy bar with Kristian, himself. Both Katrin and Kristian were telling me about a local half-fermented wine called Burčák and treated me to a glass of the unique liquid accompanied by much lively, creative, and hilarious chit chat. Now that is what I call a personal touch!
I came away from the evening realizing how lucky I was to have experienced this "Prague by Night" tour. I went in with no expectations and got more than I could have imagined. I highly recommend this tour or any other with "Prague with Kristian". He is a generous, creative soul who enjoys sharing his talent and love for his city and country. Much thanks to Katrin and Kristian for a memorable evening exploring "Prague by Night"!

We did the Prague by night tour with Katrin when we arrived to get our bearings in the city at night. Katrin was an excellent guide. She knows her stuff and gave us a ton of helpful info about the city. The walking tour covered the castle, surrounding area, kampa park, lower quarter and more. She showed us the local seasonal fermented wine and a wonderful little bar called craft beer & cake with a great rotating craft lineup. She gave us a great restaurant recommendation since we didn't know most places stop serving at 10pm (keep this in mind if you get in town late or aren't adjusting to the time).
This is an awesome way to see the city- no one was out! We got to take our time without the crowds.
You need comfortable walking shoes- the majority of the walk is cobblestone. I would not recommend this if you have a hard time walking or any injuries- it's all walking.
Also- local friends sent us a personalized reminder email with Katrin's phone number and picture with the meeting spot to make it easier to find her. Very helpful!

The Night Walking Tour was the highlight of my visit to Prague. I got to see many places and things that I would not otherwise have discovered on my own. My guide, Marek was enthusiastic and very patient while I took million photos. He also explained a lot of historical context and tidbits. I highly recommend it!

We decided to do this tour on our first night in Prague. We were met by our tour guide Ema - on time and as promised - she was engaging and a passionate story teller with a quick witt. We loved walking around the castle precinct and were awestruck by the view of St Vitus Cathedral. Prague is beautiful by day but magical by night. We highly recommend this tour.

We had the pleasure of taking a walking tour with Jachym from Prague Local Friends. We were a little worried as the forecast called for rain showers, and they were right. It poured most of the day! I would have understood if Jachym was less than enthusiastic about walking us around the city. To the contrary, he was wonderful!

Jachym took us to various parts of the city explaining the history, architecture and culture. We stopped to sample traditional Czech sandwiches and pastries. During this break Jachym shared both the reality and legends of the founding of the country.
My son is an expert in military history; Jachym was engaging, sharing insights and perspective on Czech history through WWI, WWII and the Velvet Revolution. My favorite aspect is he tailored the conversation to our interests, combining wit and humor to make our tour of the Old and New Towns an absolute delight! We finished our tour damp, with a deep appreciation for this beautiful city.

Prague Local Friends is aptly named, as their guides are really like meeting up with an old friend for an introduction to a new city. Getting the perspective of an insider is no small thing, particularly in a city where you will quickly learn to hate your Google Maps app as it tries desperately to navigate the city's windy spiderweb of streets.
We took a delightful morning walking tour with Amalka, crossing through multiple city quarters and winding our way through clever shortcuts to experience a perfect combination of both "must-see" and "off-the-beaten-path" spots. Amalka's stories about her family's life in Prague - both past and present - and her obvious passion for the city and country's history really brought it all to life for us. You can also count on fast and helpful responses to booking inquiries and other questions. If you want to go beyond simple bus tours and leave Prague feeling like you really got to know it, this is a great choice!

The tour was excellent and well worth the money. There were only two of us and our awesome guide Jachym which really made it a personable and unique experience. Jachym was very knowledgeable and funny with a quick wit. We threw a lot of questions at him and he easily answered them all. The next day I really saw Prague differently after waking around and learning so much about the history and culture. Thank you!

Night tour was incredible, Kaeli is gonna marry our tour guide and we are both so exhausted. I limped home...
I liked that the tour included all of the different "quarters" of Prague. We saw monuments and architecture from different time periods and of different styles. I really liked that it was just the 3 of us. It was very personal and our guide was very good natured and laid back. It wasn't like a regular tour where they're like, "and on your left you'll see Charles bridge. In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue."
We saw everything we wanted to see!

Jachym is a wonderful and knowledgeable tour guide. It's the only night time tour of Prague but it's full of great stories and gives you an excellent idea of what you might like to see during the day. I would recommend this to anyone who loves history, meeting new people, and understanding culture.

We had originally booked one day with Katrin to tour the castle and surrounding areas of Prague, but after learning so much from Katrin about prague that first day, and having so much fun with her, we booked a second day to tour the Old Town. She is very knowledgeable about all the areas of Prague and you will really get a great history lesson.
You will also have fun which is not always the case with tour guides. We highly recommend Katrin as well as Kristian, who coordinated the tour for us. They are knowledgeable and fun and the best way to tour Prague!

We did several tours in Prague and this was the first one we did the evening we arrived. The area covered compliments the other standard city tours and is very useful for discovering the city. Katrin is a local who can answer just about any question you have about Prague or the Czech Republic. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had a great day exploring Prague and learning lots of interesting things about the city and its people. Katrin was wonderful! She told us lots of interesting stories and told us about the history and architecture of the city and showed us more in 6 hours than we could have seen in days!! I would highly recommend Katrin and if we return to Prague I would definitely consider booking another tour!

I booked a Prague by night tour just the day or two days before the tour. Communication was prompt and easy and booking was no problem (via email and Paypal). On the day we had a tour led by Jáchym who was great fun and extremely knowledgeable about the city. We admired his ability to endure the cold weather with just a jacket while we were wrapped up with thick coats and scarves! We saw all the main sites, had a history lesson and got to see some things that only the locals would know. Overall it was definitely worth the time and effort and great value for money. Jáchym was really friendly and personable and we would definitely recommend him to anyone considering personal tours. Thank you Prague Local Friends!

had a tour with Katrin on my first day here. Katrin was so sweet and the tour was awesome. I could visit the most important and beautiful places and Katrin told me a lot of interesting things about history and architecture. If you are specially interested in history and architecture, I REALLY recommend this tour as her explanation was perfect.
I also recommend this tour to person who isn't so fluent in English just like me. I could understand everything she told in spite of my poor English.
It was my first time being abroad just as visiting prague. I really enjoyed my first night on Prague thanks to her. The night will be remembered forever.

We have just got back from an amazing tour with tour guide Jáchym. He was absolutely fantastic, showed us many wonderful sites of the city with an explanation of each as well as some hidden treasures we wouldn't have thought to look for. He was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and great company to be with. We cannot recommend this evening enough, it is absolutely perfect if you are in the city for short break and want to see as much of it as possible. Wouldn't have changed a thing about the night, thank you so much.

When we decided make Prague our last destination for this trip, I found Kristian and wanted to book 2 days with him. Having a prior commitment for one of the days, he made some recommendations and we chose a trip to Kutna Hora with Katrin.
I think this charming town is a must. It is so interesting and Katrin's knowledge and her fun personality made it extra special. We would have missed so much about Czech culture and history had we tried to do this without her, not to mention a little train anxiety.

Last week we met up with Katrin and spent four hours touring around Prague on foot. We had just landed that morning and it was a great way to start our week in Prague. We learned so much about the history of Prague and how the country came to be as it is today. The best part was that Katrin was really friendly, knowledgeable and fun to spend an afternoon with. Several times she would suggest what we could do next and let us decide, based on our interests. We saw parts of Prague we would have absolutely missed had we just tried exploring on our own and yet she covered so many things we wanted to see in the week we would be there. It was ideal! As we walked around for 4 hours my husband and I commented on how having a private tour with just Katrin, my husband and me was just leaps and bounds better than walking around in a group of 20+ people wearing a headset and following an umbrella. When I booked the tour Kristian was already booked but he offered us other options to pick from, one suiting us. If you are looking for a walking tour of Prague look no further because this is very personable and a lot of fun.

We booked a last minute Prague Night Tour and had Jáchym was our guide. He arrived on time to the designated meeting point and immediately gave us a history lesson about the Czech Republic (which we needed!). As the tour went on, he intertwined history with fun facts and current events that elevated the walking tour itself. We loved all the historical facts, but felt that Jáchym provided a real experience to the current state of affairs that the Czech Republic is facing. We loved every minute of the tour and Jáchym was flexible and easy to talk with - 3 hours flew by! Thank you so much! We will recommend this tour to friends and family!

Had a fabulous tour this evening. Thank you for putting it on. Doing the tour at night had the advantage of no crowds, gorgeous views and striking lit up historic buildings. Loved it. This place is amazing and Jachym our guide was excellent. Especially enjoyed the steps outside the castle with the unexpected acoustic effects!!

The night tour with Jachym was great! Was really interesting hearing all about the history of this beautiful city and Jachym made it really easy to understand.
Doing the tour in the evening is completely worth it because it can get incredibly hot during the day plus there are not nearly as many tourists around.
Would highly recommend this tour, especially early in your holiday because it allowed us to get our bearings of the city a bit more.

Took an afternoon tour with Katrin to "walk off" our flight & to help us decide how to spend our remaining time in Prague. Great decision because of Katrin. What an excellent tour. Katrin was a very friendly, informative and helpful guide who is always smiling. She showed us a great route through the city quarters and it was great value for money. It is certainly worth considering a nighttime tour as you do not have the normal levels of tourist congestion. On top of that, the views from the castle overlooking the city are fantastic.
