Jana was born in Prague when it was still the capital of communist Czechoslovakia. Over the years, she has witnessed the city's transformation – from gray and quiet to vibrant and full of life – and she loves to share that perspective with her guests.
She studied international relations, which gives her tours a strong background in modern history, politics, and the everyday reality of life behind the Iron Curtain. Jana's passion for languages and culture led her to travel the world – only to confirm that Prague truly is one of the most beautiful cities anywhere. And she's been proudly guiding here for more than 18 years.
Jana is a certified Prague guide and a long-time member of the Rick Steves' Europe guiding team. She leads both private tours and small groups with warmth, insight, and a great sense of humor. And if you're up for a good chat over coffee – she'll happily join you!
